In the Netherlands, there is a habit of integrating exotic food into typical Dutch cuisine (nasischijf, bamihap, goulashkroket, shoarmabitterballen, etc...), so the Dutch do a subtle form of cultural assimilation. In reaction to this fact, we have integrated typical Dutch sweets (dropjes, stroopwafels, roze koek, snelle jelle,...) into a typical Mexican tradition, and have therefore reversed this principle.
In Nederland bestaat er de gewoonte om exotisch eten te integreren in de typisch Nederlandse keuken (nasischijf, bamihap, goulashkroket, shoarmabitterballen, etc...), dus doen de Nederlanders aan een subtiele vorm van culturele assimilatie. In reactie tegenover dit gegeven, hebben we typsch Nederlands snoepgoed (dropjes, stroopwafels, roze koek, snelle jelle,...) geïntegreerd in een typisch Mexicaanse traditie, en hebben dus dit principe omgekeerd.
